What do we do?
Apart from its representational role, NHS Alliance plays a major part in supporting and developing Primary Care Trusts and similar primary care organisations and in providing opportunities for them (and the individuals within them) to network and exchange best practice. There is an expanding programme of national meetings as well as regional seminars, workshops and masterclasses. Members are supported by an open access helpline (by telephone or e-mail), in-house and joint publications and briefings, internal newsletters, NHS Alliance sections in three major primary care journals and a long established website. As a peer support network, recently described by the Secretary of State as "A force to be reckoned with", NHS Alliance provides its members with a means of defining their own future and supporting their progress.
