Dr Ade Adeagbo

Ade is currently a Non Executive Director of NHS Greenwich – as Vice Chair and Chair of Audit. Current role is as Interim CEO of African Health Policy Network,

The African HIV Policy Network [AHPN] is an umbrella body of African-led community based organisations that enables Africans to speak with a collective and representative voice on matters of HIV and sexual health. AHPN was founded on the premise that there was lack of powerful voices at national level to influence HIV policy and support services on behalf of the African communities in the UK. AHPN is developing a mechanism for capturing the views, voices and experiences of Africans in the UK living with and affected by HIV and sexual health conditions, by establishing Vital Positive Voices.

Before joining AHPN, Ade worked as the Interim CEO & Director of Organisational Development of National Voices - an umbrella organisation of national voluntary sector organisations in health and social care, ensuring service users voices and the voluntary sector are reflected in government policy.

Ade chairs Community Alliance – a partnership between bassac [British Association of Settlements and Social Action Centres], Community Matters and the Development Trusts Association – with a common vision of delivering “community anchor” – i.e. vehicles by which the local community can become actors in the development and restoration of their neighbourhoods.

He is a member of the executive council and the chair of the non-executive directors’ network of the NHS Alliance and has academic and research interest is social economics with focus on corporate strategy and organisational development and design. Ade is a leadership ambassador of the Third Sector Leadership Centre, hosted by the Henley Business School.
