Michael Sobanja was been Chief Officer of the NHS Alliance from its inception in early 1998 through to April 2012.  The Alliance is a national membership organisation for primary care organizations across the UK with a key role in representation, and the development and dissemination of good practice.

Also an experienced management consultant, his clients are drawn mainly from the NHS, pharmaceutical industry and local government.  He acts as a consultant to a number of international research and communications companies.  A regular speaker at conferences both nationally and internationally on the subject of health policy and practice, he writes for several national publications.

He was previously the Chief Executive of a large middle England Health Authority and has over twenty five years management experience in the NHS.  A qualified member of the Institute of Healthcare Management, he also holds qualifications in health economics and the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction.
