WELCOME TO THE URGENT PRIMARY CARE NETWORK PAGE

This section offers you access to a wide range of papers and updates produced and prepared both to support members and influence national policy.

The network is supported by the NHS Alliance Urgent Care Lead, Rick Stern. It also has a Leadership Group, elected by members (last election in March 2010) with 12 Chief Executives and Medical Directors from across urgent care providers and has developed clear priorities for action.  The Leadership Group meets quarterly and also has quarterly seminars with the Urgent & Emergency Care Team and the National Director at the Department of Health.  We also produce Updates, roughly once a month, emailed direct to all members interested in the latest news and issues in urgent care – if you would like to receive these direct, please email Rick Stern at the email address below.  Finally, we develop press releases on key issues and papers promoting new ideas and encouraging debate.  Details of all of these can be found below.

We hope you find these helpful.  If you need any further information or would like to get more involved, please get in touch.
