New NHS Alliance is currently in a period of transition.
We have set-up a Community Interest Company, limited by guarantee and regulated by the CIC Regulator. It is called The Health Creation Alliance C.I.C.
At our AGM held on 11 July 2018, our members voted to close the two organisations under which New NHS Alliance currently operates – the New NHS Alliance and the Primary Care Alliance Limited – and to set up a Community Interest Company to continue the purposes of the New NHS Alliance. The closure of the two organisations will take place at a time decided by the National Executive and once the C.I.C. is fully operational.
The new C.I.C. will be led in the first instance by Dr Brian Fisher, Peter Hay and Merron Simpson. They will be responsible for appointing a number of other Directors to support delivery of the business plan. Within the first 12 months, we will develop the democratic role of our active members, involving them much more in decision-making.
The new CIC has adopted a set of guiding principles based on the five features of health creating practices. It has also adopted the seven Nolan Principles of good governance. We will post our guiding principles shortly.
